Turnip Milanese

Simple recipe that can inspire others as the turnip is a very good food as part of a slimming diet: it replaces the potatoes without the calories.
The turnip is generally an accompaniment and is rarely a dish in itself but this recipe tends to reverse the report: it is the meat that becomes an accompaniment.

Ingredients

  • Turnip: 100g
  • Gruyere : 10g
  • Butter: 5g
  • Salt:

Ustensiles

    Saucepan.
    Oven.

Preparation


    Cook whole turnips in steam or water, 15 minutes.
    Wait until they cool.
    Meanwhile, grate the gruyere or other hard cheese.
    Cut the turnips into slices.
    Butter them and place them in a baking dish, buttered too.
    Sprinkle with grated cheese.
    Add gravy.
    Bake 10 minutes.

Serve


    Hot with any red or white meat.
