What is a balanced diet?
Food groups
Foods fall into three groups:
- Proteins.
- Fat.
- Carbohydrates.
Vitamins
The recommended daily intake (RDI) fixes the amount of vitamins needed.
Minerals
The RDI determine the amount of minerals.
Variety
Menus must be varied and include different kinds of food. All kinds of vegetables, fruits, meat / fish / eggs, shall be rotated. This helps to vary the composition and ensure all the inputs.
Meals
It is recommended that you take each day:
- A hearty breakfast and energy.
- A rather ordinary lunch energy.
- A light dinner.
